By downloading, installing, or using AA Just Today ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Use of the App
The app is a personal recovery toolkit. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, therapy, or treatment. If you are in crisis, please call 911 or the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357.
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes related to personal recovery and wellness.
2. Not Affiliated with AA
This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. (AAWS), any AA General Service Office, or any AA group or entity. "AA" and "Alcoholics Anonymous" are registered trademarks of AAWS. The app is an independent tool built to support people in recovery.
3. Content
The app includes recovery-related content from various sources:
- Text from the Big Book (Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th Edition), Daily Reflections, Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, and As Bill Sees It are referenced for personal recovery use.
- Daily Stoic readings are sourced from dailystoic.com and presented in a recovery context.
- Touchstones daily meditations are sourced from Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation publications.
- Speaker recordings and workshops are sourced from SoberCast, a publicly available podcast of AA speaker recordings.
- Big Book audio is courtesy of the Internet Archive.
All content is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use. We make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of any content.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- The app offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription.
- Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store at $7.99/month or $39.99/year.
- A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.
5. Your Data
Your journal entries, sobriety date, and app data are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Meeting Data
Meeting information is aggregated from publicly available sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of meeting times, locations, or availability. Always verify meeting details independently.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.
9. Intellectual Property
The app design, code, branding, and original content are owned by Amor Design Group. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States.
